Lots of News!

Lots of News!

Hi all,

I haven’t had any new recipes or posts for awhile, but I’m back!  I have had some changes in the past year, as we all have, and I want to share a little of my journey.  I attended the Nutritional Therapy Association for a year in 2019-2020.  I received my Nutritional Therapy Practitioner certification in February 2020.  What is a Nutritional Therapist you ask?  We use a foundational approach to food and healing.  NTP’s are equipped to support the body’s innate ability to heal by addressing the importance of nutrient dense food, anatomy and physiology, lifestyle choices, culinary wellness and how social and personal components influence health.  In a nutshell, we are here to teach you how to eat real, whole food and make sustainable lifestyle changes.  I’m so grateful I was able to participate in this program and I learned so much that I use in my practice every day.

I changed the name of my business to Restoring Our Health from Grain Free Wellness.  I wanted a name that spoke more to the work that I do and wasn’t confusing for clients. I love the new name and hope you do too!

I also relocated my office to a new space.  I have been working with Doctor Jessica Jellison for the last couple of years and my office is at her clinic now.  I miss my friends at Your Wellness Connection, but it was time for a change and the pandemic brought that to light.  Dr. Jellison practices medicine from a functional perspective and tries to find the root cause for symptoms, it’s so refreshing to see a doctor really taking time with patients to help them.  You can read more about Dr.Jellison and the clinic here.  I have been doing a lot of my sessions via telehealth during the pandemic and will continue to offer that service as well as in person visits if you prefer.

I know this has been such a challenging year for so many people.  I have had several SOS calls from clients who have been struggling during this difficult time with bad food and alcohol choices.  Most all of us have increased anxiety and stress as we try to navigate this new world we are living in, but I remain hopeful that we will get through this and come out stronger on the other side!

One of the most important things we all need to do is keep our immune systems strong during this upcoming flu season. Eating a nutrient dense diet is a big part of helping your digestive and immune systems stay strong. I have some recipes that I will be sharing weekly to help you keep your immune systems strong and healthy and a few healthy holiday treats too!

I’m glad to be back sharing recipes and health tips!

Stay well everyone!

Jackie ❤️
