Healthy Restart in 2017!

Ready to restart your health in 2017?

As we approach the start of a new year, it is always a good time to reflect on the past year and make plans for a fresh start.  For many people that involves a taking a strong look at the state of their wellness.  After a holiday season filled with too much food and usually too much sugar, it seems like a great time to make some positive changes for your health.  My attitude on my own health has changed so much since my illness. For the longest time, I absolutely took my health and well being for granted as I had been blessed with relatively good health my whole life. When you lose your health and battle illness for a period of time, it puts a whole new perspective on the phrase “when you have your health, you have everything”.   To me, health is my absolute first priority.  I can’t fully live my life and be there for my family when I’m not well and so maintaining wellness and practicing self-care come first.  If I can offer one tip for the new year, it would be to take a strong look at what you are eating.  More and more we are learning that food is a preventative way to maintain or achieve good health.  So many people have food allergies that they don’t even know about that might be causing digestive issues, rashes, brain fog.  I have a few classes coming up that I would love for you to consider, or I would love to work with you to help you learn what foods you should eliminate to improve your health. I have a Wheat Belly class coming up where I teach you how to eat wheat-free, grain-free and two grain-free baking classes at The Culinary Center in old Overland Park. I am very excited to be teaching at the Culinary Center and would love to see you there.  You can learn more about my classes here.

Happy New Year!

xoxo
